Belgium and Egypt played out a 1-1 draw in their Group G Group Stage match at Lumen Field, Seattle, on Monday, June 15.

Egypt took the lead in the 19th minute when E. Ashour scored from open play, assisted by M. Salah. The equaliser for Belgium came in the 66th minute courtesy of an own goal by M. Hany.

The match saw four yellow cards issued. Egypt's M. Attia received a yellow card in the 13th minute, with T. Castagne of Belgium also booked a minute later. A. Fatouh was shown a yellow card for Egypt in the 34th minute, and M. De Cuyper of Belgium received a caution in the 75th minute.

Substitutions for Belgium included N. Raskin and M. De Cuyper entering in the 56th minute for T. Castagne and A. Onana respectively, followed by R. Lukaku replacing C. De Ketelaere in the 66th minute. J. Doku and K. De Bruyne were replaced by M. Fernandez-Pardo and H. Vanaken in the 86th minute. Egypt made a triple substitution in the 76th minute, with Zizo and H. Abdelkarim coming on for M. Ziko and M. Salah, while E. Ashour was replaced by R. Rabia in the 71st minute. H. Fathy and A. Fatouh were substituted for I. Adel and K. Hafez in the 88th minute.
