Germany secured a 2-1 victory over Côte d'Ivoire in a Group E fixture of the Group Stage on Saturday, June 20, at BMO Field, Toronto.

F. Kessie opened the scoring for Côte d'Ivoire in the 30th minute with an open play goal, giving his side the lead going into half-time.

Germany responded in the second half, with D. Undav scoring an open play equaliser in the 68th minute, assisted by N. Amiri. Undav then scored his second goal of the match, an open play effort in the 90th minute, assisted by F. Nmecha, to seal the win for Germany.

Substitutions for Germany included A. Rudiger for N. Schlotterbeck in the 46th minute, N. Amiri for A. Pavlovic, J. Leweling for L. Sane, and D. Undav for J. Musiala all in the 60th minute, and L.
