Côte d'Ivoire defeated Ecuador 1-0 in their Group E match at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, on Sunday, June 14. The decisive goal came in the final minute of regular time.

The match-winner was scored by A. Diallo in the 90th minute, assisted by W. Singo. This goal, from open play, sealed the win for Côte d'Ivoire in a game that saw a total of four yellow cards.

Côte d'Ivoire collected three yellow cards: S. Fofana was booked in the 28th minute, F. Kessie in the 38th minute, and G. Doue in the 40th minute. Ecuador received one yellow card, shown to J. Porozo in the 73rd minute.
