Paraguay and Australia shared the points in a 0-0 draw in their Group D encounter at the Levi's Stadium, San Francisco, on Thursday, June 25. The Group Stage match saw no goals scored by either side over 90 minutes.

The first half ended without incident, but the second period started with a yellow card for Australia's J. Irvine in the 46th minute. Paraguay then made the first substitution, bringing on Mauricio for A. Maidana at the start of the second half.

Australia introduced A. Hrustic for C. Volpato in the 58th minute, followed by Paraguay replacing G. Avalos with A. Arce in the 67th minute. D. Gomez of Paraguay received a yellow card in the 77th minute. Both teams made further changes in the 84th minute, with Paraguay bringing on J. Canale for O. Alderete, and Australia making a double substitution, replacing J. Irvine with P. Okon-Engstler and N. Irankunda with T. Yengi.

The final substitutions came in added time, as Paraguay brought on D. Bobadilla for D. Gomez and J. Alonso for M. Galarza in the 90+2nd minute, but neither side could find a breakthrough before the full-time whistle.
