Colombia secured a 3-1 victory over Uzbekistan in their Group K match at the Estadio Azteca, Mexico City, on Wednesday, June 17. All goals came from open play.

D. Munoz opened the scoring for Colombia in the 40th minute, assisted by L. Diaz. Uzbekistan responded after the break with A. Fayzullaev levelling the score in the 60th minute. However, Colombia quickly regained the lead five minutes later, with L. Diaz finding the net, assisted by G. Puerta. J. Campaz sealed the win for Colombia in the ninth minute of added time, with C. Hernandez providing the assist.

Yellow cards were issued to J. Mojica of Colombia in the 7th minute and to A. Khusanov of Uzbekistan in the 34th minute. Both teams made multiple substitutions throughout the second half. Uzbekistan introduced D. Khamdamov for O. Urunov and F. Sayfiev for S. Nasrullaev at half-time. Later changes for Uzbekistan included A. Amonov for A. Fayzullaev, J. Urozov for R. Ashurmatov, and I.
