England defeated Croatia 4-2 in a Group L match of the Group Stage at AT&T Stadium, Arlington, on Wednesday, June 17. The first half saw five goals, with England ultimately taking a one-goal lead into the break.

H. Kane opened the scoring for England from the penalty spot in the 12th minute. Croatia equalised in the 36th minute through M. Baturina, assisted by P. Sucic. Kane then scored his second for England in the 42nd minute, assisted by D. Rice, before P. Musa levelled the score again for Croatia in the 45th minute, with an assist from I. Perisic.

The second half continued with J. Bellingham scoring for England in the 47th minute, assisted by E. Anderson. Substitutions followed for both sides, with M. Kovacic replacing L. Modric for Croatia in the 58th minute. Further changes saw England extend their lead in the 85th minute, as M. Rashford found the net, assisted by B. Saka, closing out the scoring at 4-2.
