Netherlands and Japan drew 2-2 in their Group F encounter at the AT&T Stadium, Arlington, on Sunday, June 14. Both teams shared the points in a match that saw the deadlock broken after half-time.

Virgil van Dijk opened the scoring for the Netherlands in the 51st minute, assisted by Ryan Gravenberch. However, Japan quickly responded through Keito Nakamura six minutes later, with an assist from Takefusa Kubo. The Netherlands regained the lead in the 64th minute when Crysencio Summerville, again assisted by Gravenberch, found the net. Summerville was booked shortly after his goal in the 61st minute.

Japan secured a point in the 89th minute with a late equaliser from Daichi Kamada, assisted by Koki Ogawa. The Netherlands also saw yellow cards for Memphis Depay in the 83rd minute and Micky van de Ven in the 90+1 minute. Both sides made multiple substitutions throughout the second half as they sought to influence the outcome.
