Netherlands secured a commanding 5-1 victory over Sweden in their Group F match at the NRG Stadium, Houston on Saturday, June 20. Brian Brobbey and Cody Gakpo both scored twice for the Dutch side.

Brobbey opened the scoring in the 5th minute from an assist by Gakpo, and doubled his tally in the 17th minute, this time assisted by Denzel Dumfries. Gakpo then added two goals of his own early in the second half, scoring in the 47th minute, again assisted by Dumfries, and then in the 54th minute following a pass from Crysencio Summerville. Sweden found a consolation goal in the 59th minute through Anthony Elanga, assisted by Alexander Isak. However, Summerville rounded off the scoring for the Netherlands in the 89th minute, with Memphis Depay providing the assist.

The match saw three yellow cards, all for Sweden. Gudmundsson was booked in the 53rd minute, Yasin Ayari in the 75th minute, and Lucas Bergvall in the 80th minute. Both teams made multiple substitutions as the game progressed. Netherlands brought on Summerville, Teun Koopmeiners, Guus Til, Depay, and Noa Lang. Sweden introduced Elanga, Bilal Zeneli, Bergvall, Taha Ali, and Ethan Stroud.
