Payne. Egypt received a yellow card in the 17th minute, shown to M. Lasheen, followed by S. Singh and C. McCowatt for New Zealand in the 20th and 34th minutes respectively.

Egypt made an early substitution in the 41st minute, with R. Rabia replacing H. Fathy. The second half saw Egypt equalise through M. Ziko in the 58th minute, assisted by M. Hany. M. Salah then put Egypt ahead in the 67th minute, with M. Ziko providing the assist.

New Zealand made several substitutions in the 66th and 76th minutes, bringing on B. Old, R. Thomas, and J. Randall for C. McCowatt, S. Singh, and L. Cacace.
