The United States secured a 4-2 victory over Paraguay in a Group D match held at SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, on Friday, June 12. The scoring began early with an own goal from Paraguay's D. Bobadilla in the 7th minute. F. Balogun then scored twice for the United States, first in the 31st minute from a C. Pulisic assist, and again in the 45th+5th minute, assisted by M. Tillman.

Paraguay found a goal back in the 73rd minute through Mauricio, assisted by J. Enciso. However, the United States sealed their win with G. Reyna scoring in the 90th+8th minute, with A. Freeman providing the assist.

The match saw a total of six yellow cards, all issued to Paraguay players: J. Caceres (10'), M. Almiron (53'), D. Gomez (79'), A. Arce (88'), and J. Alonso (90'+3'). T. Adams of the United States also received a yellow card in the 59th minute. Substitutions were made throughout the second half by both teams.
