Qatar and Switzerland played out a 1-1 draw in their Group B Group Stage fixture at Levi's Stadium, San Francisco, on Saturday, June 13. Switzerland took the lead, but Qatar secured an equaliser in injury time.

Switzerland opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Breel Embolo converted a penalty. Earlier, Qatar's Mahmud Abunad received a yellow card in the 16th minute, followed by Jassem Gaber Abdulsallam in the 23rd minute. Denis Zakaria of Switzerland also picked up a yellow card in the 42nd minute.

The second half saw several substitutions with Qatar making three changes in the 60th minute, bringing on Ahmed Alaaeldin for Yusuf Abdurisag, Karim Boudiaf for Jassem Gaber Abdulsallam, and Ahmed Fathi for Ayoub Al Oui. Switzerland responded in the 65th minute with Johan Manzambi replacing Dan Ndoye and Fabian Rieder coming on for Michel Aebischer. Qatar substituted Assim Madibo for Mohamed Naceur Almanai in the 79th minute, while Switzerland introduced Zeki Amdouni for Rubén Vargas in the same minute. Further changes saw Qatar's Edmilson Junior replaced by Hassan Al Haydos in the 88th minute, and Switzerland making late substitutions with Miro Muheim on for Ricardo Rodríguez and Ardon Jashari for Remo Freuler in the 89th minute.

Boualem Khoukhi scored in the 90+4th minute for Qatar, assisted by Homam Al-Amin, to level the score at 1-1 before full time.
